Improve Your Life

How can you improve your life?

Well, you don’t. You just simply be, right?

Of course,  you can find an area of your life that’s off-balance and strive towards improving that area. If you’re comfortable with your current circumstances, there would not be a need to move out of your comfort zone, right?

The better approach is to examine your ultimate purpose and mission in life and arrange all your habits and activities around that purpose. While reaching that purpose, you’ll find lot stumbling blocks along the way that can impede your progress. In actuality, they are part of your progress if you are open the challenge and learn from your mistakes and failures.

Feelings of discomfort, anxiety, worry, and so on are not necessarily bad feelings that work against you, but are working to serve you as an inner-guidance system. Whatever is set up on core values is your current comfort zone.

It’s mainly about living in the present and taking advantage of the moment you have now.  Live your life in the present moment with the intention of improving several areas of your life and you begin to let past roadblocks become distant memories.

Wealth

  • You should use wealth as a means to fund your creative long-term goals and values. You live from the outcome now – you should live as if money wasn’t an issue and you should accurately plan your financial goals. You are only as rich as your creative imagination and the resources you have.
  • The keyword to building wealth is savings, investing, and self-discipline to manage your wealth. Make a promise to yourself that every month you will save a certain percentage of your earnings (even if it $5) and invest them in saving accounts, bonds, mutual funds, index funds, tax liens, stocks, and so on. The greater your savings, the safer will you feel to reinvest and leverage to other investment vehicles.

Health

  • Well-being, prosperity and peace of mind come first and then increasing wealth follows. Health allows you to appreciate wealth. It’s the truest form of wealth. A combination of healthy diet, yoga, physical exercise and a little bit of lifestyle alteration and meditation can work wonders for your health.

Mental

  • Your mental well-being is just as important as your physical health. After all, you are what you focus on most of the time. Your mental health includes emotional well-being, cognitive functioning, and your intelligence in terms of adapting to your environment.  Further, in terms of your environment, it includes applying the knowledge/beliefs you learned throughout life and acting consistently with them as it relates to your core values and self-image.

Career

  • A career doesn’t simply mean something that gives you the certificate of being worldly successful. The end vision or objective of a great career isn’t necessarily the world’s most beautiful and desirable spouse, beautiful kids, swanky sports cars, multi million dollar homes in posh locales and vacations in exotic far off places.
  • It is when you build your career out of doing something you “like”, something which you are good at, something that you do in earnest with a lot of passion that success runs after you.
  • You must be receptive enough and avail of every new learning opportunity. If necessary you must undergo rigorous training and internships to learn on the spot when preparing for new opportunities.

Social/Relationship

  • Do you really relate to yourself and others? Your reflection of other people is a mere reflection of yourself – any great ideas you wish to share require some form of social interaction.
  • Have you ever given a thought to what value you bring to others? You have to learn how to socialize, you have to learn how to make friends, you can join clubs, dating sites, laughter clubs, you can join social networking sites and you can become a social worker or a volunteer for a charity organization.
  • You can educate yourself by reading through inspirational biographies, autobiographies, cultures, concepts, histories. You see these topics are major conversation starters and being educated and up to date can help you win many admirers and new friends.
  • The company of a set of intellectual friends can challenge and motivate you to improve your cerebral quotient and sharpen social and interpersonal skills. You can pack your bags and go on a world tour.

Personal Development

  • What is it that you do that makes you unique? Your footprint in this world can never be duplicated. It could be a talent or skills — golfing skills, juggling skills, weird hobbies you have, vocal ability, and so on. You have to nurture and nourish those talents and bring out the best in you.

The power to improve your life lies within yourself.  An external source may provide the initial momentum, but ultimately you become your own guide throughout life. By appreciating ways to improve your life now, you bring the present moment that can help to improve your life now. While the insights you may read on this site may seem “common sense”, it’s drastically different from “common action.”

Take action – not just to avoid pain – but inspired actions!
